SJFCU sponsors 'Tree of Hope' Lighting and Concert in Glassboro

Glassboro, NJ – (November 28, 2006) -- South Jersey Federal Credit Union (SJFCU) is the lead sponsor of Glassboro’s annual Tree Lighting ceremony, featuring the “Tree of Hope.” The welcome and tree lighting ceremony is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, at Main and High Streets (on the site of Land Dimension Engineering).

Main Street Glassboro and the Glassboro Economic Development Corporation (GEDC) host the event, along with the Glassboro Boys & Girls Club. Youngsters from the club will place envelopes with their “messages of hope” on the tree.

Immediately following the tree lighting, all visitors are invited to a reception and a free concert by the Atlantic Brass Band, sponsored by SJFCU, at the Glassboro Library, 2 Center Street. The reception and music will run from 6:30 until 8 p.m.

In case of rain, the tree lighting ceremony will be held in Borough Hall; the Reception and concert will still be held at the Library.
